Weisiger of CU Men's Golf Named Liberty League Performer of the Week

Senior Luke Weisiger of the Clarkson University Men's Golf team was even-par in three rounds this past week and was rewarded on Monday when chosen as the Liberty League Performer of the Week.

Weisiger shot a one-over par 73 at the SUNY Canton Invitational on Tuesday, just two strokes off the pace set by one of his teammates for the single-day tournament. This past weekend, Weisiger was one-under, scoring a 66 on Saturday and then a 73 on Sunday to win medalist honors for the Castleton Invitational, held at the par-70 Rutland Country Club, leading a field of 45 golfers. Over the course of 36 holes, Weisiger recorded 11 birdies.

Weisiger is off to a strong start this fall, averaging 72 strokes per 18 holes in September. He is a combine one-under par over his last three tournaments (four rounds).
