Yacawych Finishes 2026 Liberty League Championships at One-Over Par

Verona, NY – Tyler Yacawych completed an impressive weekend by shooting a 71 on Sunday to lead the Clarkson University Golf team's scoring at the 2026 Liberty League Championships, held at the par-72 Shenendoah Golf Course at Turning Stone Resort.

The Golden Knights finished seventh out of seven teams with a score of 927, though the team was sixth on Sunday with a score of 304, three strokes ahead of St. Lawrence's outing. The final standings were University of Rochester (857), New York University (863), Hobart (885), Rensselaer (886), Skidmore (886), St. Lawrence (915), and Clarkson (927).

Yacawych was two-over par entering Sunday's round but dropped his score by one thanks to his 71 which included a pair of birdies and an eagle. He was two-under on the 567-yard par-five 8th hole and also added birdies on two of the other three par-fives on the course, scoring 36 on the front and 35 on the back nine. His three-day score of 217 put him in a tie for eighth place among the 35 golfers in the field.

Eric Spoth was the next finisher for the Knights, ending up in a tie for 24th with a three-day score of 229. Spoth posted birdies on the second and eighth holes, one a par-three and the other a par-five. He shot 35 on the front nine and then had a 39 on the back.

Luke Weisiger closed out the tournament in 29th place with a score of 235, scoring a 76 on Sunday. He had a birdie on #6, a long par-four of 452 yards and also finished with a birdie on the 553-yeard 18th hole.

Joe Tiderencel and Brian Secor finished in a tie for 34th place, but it was Tiderencel whose score was used on Sunday to round out Clarkson's team tally for the day. Tiderencel shot an 83 (finishing with a three-day score of 25), finishing his round strong with a 37 on the back nine. Secor shot 85 on Sunday with birdies on #10 and #18.
