Senior Drew Reigelsperger of the Clarkson University Cross Country team posted another personal best time on Saturday, and his showing at the Hamilton Invitational earned him Liberty League Performer of the Week honors when the conference announced its weekly winners on Monday afternoon.

It is the third time that Reigelsperger has earned Liberty League weekly honors in 2026 with two runners from RPI gaining the other three weekly nods this fall.

Reigelsperger finished second in the standings among 89 runners at the Hamilton Invitational, crossing the line in 25 minutes, 28.7 seconds over the 8000-meter course. His time was 35.5 seconds faster than his run time a year ago in Clinton, NY, and it was nearly 30 seconds faster than his previous best time this fall (25:54.2). Even more remarkably, it was the fastest time by any Clarkson runner since 2013, when Dan Fritz finished the Liberty League Championships in 25:28.0, and the fourth fastest time of any Clarkson runner in the 21st century, trailing only Fritz's time and two race results by Clarkson Athletic Hall of Famer Alex Benway, both produced in 2011.
