Seneca Lake, NY – Senior Drew Reigelsperger claimed his third consecutive title at Seneca Lake State Park, leading the Clarkson University Cross Country team at the inaugural Warner-Fleury Invitational, hosted by Hobart & William Smith Colleges.

Clarkson's women placed third out of six teams with 71 points, trailing host William Smith (22) and SUNY ESF (48) while ahead of Morrisville State (98), Keuka (155), and SUNY Canton (173). The Golden Knights' men took the top spot among the six teams in the second race of the day, finishing with 23 points, ahead of Hobart (61), Morrisville State (62), SUNY ESF (82), Keuka (153), and SUNY Canton (181).

Senior Alexandra Simon had a new personal best time by closing out the 6000-meter race with a time of 24 minutes, 43.4 seconds, a shade under 10 seconds off the top time in the field of 62 runners and placing her third overall. Skylar Francis was next to cross the finish line for the Knights, taking the 13th spot in 26:13.5. One spot further down was Meagan Speizer, coming in 14th in 26:17.9. Thirty seconds later, Janneke Baks took 20th with a time of 26:47.1, and roughly 45 seconds after Baks came Kelly Lahiff as she also finished in the top half of participants, crossing the line at 27:32.2 for 28th.

Reigelsperger was roughly six seconds off his personal best time, but was more than 30 seconds faster than his previous best at the Seneca Lake course. He won the individual title for the men handily, finishing in 25:34.7, nearly a full minute (57.1 seconds) faster than the runner-up. James Lynch was third in the field of 67 runners with a time of 26:40.0, and Clarkson quickly closed out the team title by having three of the next five runners cross the finish line. Jack Zieber was fourth in 27:01.1, Frank Consolazio took seventh in 27:20.7, and Spencer Reese ended up in eighth with a time of 27:25.7. Clarkson still would have won the team title had it needed its next two finishers as Wyatt Worcester took 13th (27:45.7) and Matthew Clarner cross the line in 14th place (27:46.9).
