After its first weekend off this fall, the Clarkson University Cross Country team returns to action this weekend, hopefully recharged and ready to participate in the Hamilton Invitational.

Live Timing

The Women: Last year's race was just 5000 meters, but this time around the Golden Knights will be participating on a course that is 6000 meters. Janneke Baks placed 18th out of 44 runners in the 2025 incarnation of the Hamilton Invitational, one spot and 2.3 seconds faster than Skylar Francis. Baks is averaging 27:21 per 6K this year while Francis has been a touch faster at just under 27 minutes. Alexandra Simon has the top time of any female Clarkson runner in a 6000-meter race this year at 26:18.1. She has run at Hamilton only once in her collegiate career, participating at the event back in 2023.

The Men: Both Drew Reigelsperger and Matthew Clarner had personal best times in Hamilton a year ago, though Reigelsperger has since topped his time twice in 2026. Reigelsperger finished third among 80 runners in Hamilton last October with a time of 26:04.2, slightly faster than his three 8000-meter average in 2026 (26:11.4), but also slower than two of his times this year. Clarner ended up in 10th last year at Hamilton with a time of 26:40.1 and was followed by Frank Consolazio in 14th (26:57.6). James Lynch was also 17th, and he has the second fastest average 8000-meter for the Knights in 2026 (27:15.3).
