Only a few days after placing second at Partridge Run, the Clarkson University Golf team will head to the shores of Lake Ontario as the team competes in the annual Oswego Fall Golf Invitational.

The Course: The Oswego Country Club is a par-71, with a 35 for the front nine and 36 being par on the back nine.

The Five: A year ago, only one of Clarkson's golfers broke 80 on either day, as graduated senior Zach Pilarchik had a 79 on the first day. That was not an indictment on the quality of Clarkson's golfers, however, as only 10 players broke 80 on Saturday and just six were below the mark on Sunday of the two-day event. Casey Ditzel (along with Pilarchik) were the only Clarkson players to shoot 170 or lower for the tournament.

Ditzel currently ranks third on the team in scoring average at 79.16 strokes per round, having shot in the 70s on three occasions. Andrew Palmatier has also been in the 70s three times, and leads the team in scoring at 78.67. Zander Poole is the lone Clarkson golfer to shoot in the 70s four times this fall, and he ranks second on the team in scoring average at 79.00. Dale Turner ranks fourth (80.67) and Brant Bomberger is fifth in scoring (81.00), though the latter has averaged just 78.50 strokes per 18 over his last four outings.
