Farr Eagles, Turner Scores Three Birdies on Final Day of Nazareth Invite

Rochester, NY – Dale Turner led the way on Sunday for the Clarkson University Golf team as the Golden Knights closed out the Nazareth College Invitational at the par-72, 6720 Irondequoit Country Club.

The Golden Knights finished in fourth place among the six teams with 649 strokes, scoring 324 on Saturday and 325 on Sunday. Clarkson trailed University of Rochester (612), St. Lawrence University (627) and Hobart College (638) and ahead of Oswego State (666) and Nazareth College (710).

Turner finished in a tie for 13th, but had the top score for Clarkson on Sunday, shooting 79 overall, including an impressive 37 on the back nine. Turner had birdies on the sixth hole, a par-three, and the ninth hole, a par-five. On the back nine, Turner scored six pars and had a birdie on the par-four 14th hole.

Casey Ditzel and Zach Pilarchik ended up in a tie for ninth in the tournament as each scored 160 overall, with Ditzel carding an 80 on day two and Pilarchik finishing with an 83 on Sunday. Ditzel tallied three birdies on Sunday, going one-under on the par-three sixth hole and repeating the effort on the final holes of the front and back nine, both par-fives. Pilarchik scored birdies on the first and third holes and added six more pars the rest of the way.

Both Dylan Farr and Brennan Moreau each shot 83 as well. Farr was the lone player for the Knights all weekend to record an eagle, going two-under on the par-five sixth hole, while Moreau had eight pars overall.
