CU Golf Preview - at Potsdam Town & Country Club (9/9)

With some of the lowest team scores posted in program history this past weekend, the Clarkson University Golf team will look to go even lower on Wednesday when the Golden Knights host their annual tournament at the Potsdam Town & Country Club.

The Field: Both the Green and Gold as well as St. Lawrence University will put together multiple teams and a handful of individuals to go along with several other North Country teams to push the total field to roughly 50 golfers on Wednesday, creating 17 groups spread around the course in a shotgun start format.

The Team: Ryan Makowski and Aaron Walsh had the lowest team scores for the Knights a year ago, but one is on the shelf due to injury and the other is now currently serving as assistant coach. That leaves senior Luke Weisiger as the low man from a season ago as he tied for seventh in the field (39 golfers) with a 75. Alex Sweeney shot 76 last September while Jace Dutch, Eric Spoth, and Joe Tiderencel each carded 78. Spoth and Weisiger played well as sophomores on the home course, too, with Spoth finishing second with a 70 in 2024 and Weisiger taking fifth with a 73 in a year with a field of 50 total golfers.
