The Series: This will be the first ever match between Clarkson and New Paltz.

Key Stats for Clarkson (3-1-0): When Riley Irvin netted the game-winner against Plattsburgh State early in the 86th minute on Wednesday, she became the sixth different goal scorer for Clarkson with no player yet repeating the trick in 2026. That diversity on offense is a plus for the Golden Knights at this point as opponents try to figure which players to key upon for scouting. Kenzie Roth has played well for the Knights with consecutive shutouts as Clarkson has not allowed a goal for the past 254 minutes.

Key Stats for New Paltz (2-1-0): Like Clarkson, the Hawks have also had five different goal scorers with no one yet accumulate multiple goals in 2026. New Paltz was at the same tournament as Clarkson last weekend, beating Hartwick 3-0 but falling to Oneonta State 1-0. Unfortunately, the games occurred across town simultaneously for Clarkson and New Paltz, not allowing either in-game scouting. The Hawks won handily against Hartwick but owned just a 12-9 edge in shots while the 1-0 loss to Oneonta saw New Paltz outshot 26-6.
