Fresh off a shutout over Plattsburgh State on Wednesday, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team hits the road for the first time in the 2025 season when the team will take on 24th-ranked University of Rochester on Saturday evening.

The Series: Last year's contest was only the second ever meeting between the two teams, and the game got away from the Golden Knights late. Leading 1-0 midway through the second half, Clarkson allowed four goals in the final 22 minutes, including two in quick succession in the 69th minute.

Key Stats for Clarkson (1-0-1): It is only two games, but six Clarkson field players have yet to come off the field for the Golden Knights, mostly defensive players. Callie Abel, Jamie Dahlgard, Riley Irvin, Aviana Johnson, Rachael Matthews, and Julia Tylar have played the full 90 in each of the first two games of the season, which includes the entire corps of the back defensive line. Tylar has contributed on offense, assisting on the goal against Plattsburgh off a corner. Graduate student Sydney Moore has proven a valuable transfer from University of Richmond, pitching two shutouts in the opening two games of the season, a 2-0 win over Cortland and a 0-0 tie against St. Lawrence.
