The Clarkson University Men's Hockey team is back on the road this weekend, opening ECAC Hockey play with a Friday night showdown against Union College in Schenectady. Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m. at the new M&T Bank Center as the Golden Knights look to start their conference schedule on a high note.

Clarkson enters the weekend seeking to build momentum after a challenging non-conference stretch that has tested the team early in the 2025-26 season. Despite facing one of the nation's toughest schedules, the Golden Knights have shown flashes of their potential, including strong defensive efforts and timely scoring in recent games. With ECAC play now underway, Clarkson is eager to find its rhythm and climb the conference standings.

Leading the way for the Golden Knights is Ryan Bottrill with 8 assists and Erik Bargholtz and Owen Van Steensel with 4 goals apiece.

Union comes into Friday's matchup riding momentum after a 3–0 shutout victory over RPI last weekend. The Garnet Chargers had a strong start to the season and will look to use their home crowd to their advantage against a Clarkson team that has historically played well in Schenectady.  Clarkson is 4-1 in their last 5 with Union and all time 42-30-5 vs the Garnet Chargers.

Following Friday night's contest, Clarkson will continue its Capital Region swing with a trip to Troy on Saturday to take on RPI.
