Following a standout season and several outstanding years in the classroom, junior Molly DiCaprio of the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team was voted as a College Sports Communicators Academic All-American Third-Team selection.

Although numerous student-athletes from the Golden Knights' Women's Soccer program have earned CSC (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors, DiCaprio is the first to be chosen as an Academic All-American. The most recent Clarkson student-athletes from any sport to have received Academic All-American honors were Anne Cherkowski (Women's Hockey) and Evan Wetzel (Alpine Skiing), who both received CSC Academic All-American At-Large selections this past spring.

DiCaprio was picked as a Liberty League First-Team All-Star this season, the third time she has gained conference all-star notice, and was also chosen as a United Soccer Coaches All-Region All-Star in 2023. DiCaprio posted a 0.64 goals against average (41st nationally) and an .867 save percentage (t-33rd nationally). She also recorded 65 saves, seven solo shutouts, and an 11-4-2 record in goalie decisions. Her seven clean sheets were the most in a single season for the Knights while Clarkson's 12 goals allowed in 2023 were the second fewest in program history and the least allowed per game (0.66) in the program's four decades of existence.

In the classroom, DiCaprio has a perfect 4.00 grade-point average through her first four semesters while majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
