Clarkson Women's Hockey hands out year end awards

The 2021-22 Clarkson Women's Hockey team concluded their season with the announcement of their annual year end awards.  The Knights coaching staff and players have honored the following players for their achievements this season.  

The Sword Award – This award is presented annually to a player that strengthens team culture through their daily Commitment, Grit and Attitude by doing more than what is required with the purpose of continually striving to better themselves, their teammates and the team. The 2022 Sword Award recipients are Haley Winn and Alexa Madrid.

The Shield Award – This award is presented annually to a player that consistently goes above and beyond to exemplify the teams core values of Knighthood, Relationships and Character through their genuine and selfless actions in order to protect and strengthen our culture. The 2022 Shield Award recipient is Caitrin Lonergan

Rookie of the Year- This award is presented annually to a player who made significant contributions to the team's success in their first year of collegiate play.  The 2022 Rookie of the Year Award goes to Haley Winn.

Ron Frazier Impact Player Award - This award honors the first ever Women's Ice Hockey Coach at Clarkson and is presented annually to a player who consistently IMPACTS weekend series throughout the season by playing to the Clarkson Hockey identity and conducting themselves in a way that consistently displays the habits and details within the program's core values. The 2022 Ron Frazier Impact Player Award recipient is Brooke McQuigge

MVP Award - This award is presented annually to a player nominated by her teammates as the team's most valuable PERSON for that season. This person wholeheartedly represents the ChampionSHIP Culture in all facets. They are an invaluable member of the team and the program. One that contributes so much to the team, both on and off the ice, that it would be hard to imagine being without them. The 2022 Most Valuable Person Award goes to Caitrin Lonergan.
