CU Women's Soccer Preview - at Vassar/Bard (10/12-13)

Nearing make-or-break in the conference season, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team enters the weekend needing to get into the win column when it travels to take on Vassar and Bard.

The Series vs. Vassar: The Golden Knights have not come up with a win against Vassar since 2006, but did tie the Brewers in 2015. Vassar is 14-2-2 in 18 all-time match ups, including a 2-1 win in 2017.

The Series vs. Bard: Clarkson is 4-2-1 in the seven years since the Raptors joined the Liberty League, but both of Bard's wins came against the Knights in the last three years. Clarkson did win the 2017 game with a 1-0 victory on Victoria Goudreau's goal.

Key Stats for Clarkson (4-7-1, 0-4-0 Liberty League): The Knights have yet to score in conference play, but have still played reasonably well in those losses, giving up just seven goals, including only one in a loss to top-10 ranked William Smith. Tanner leads the team with six goals and Ferry has four assists, scoring 10 points overall (3-4-10), including two assists in league play. Key Stats for Bard (4-6-1, 0-4-0 Liberty League): Like Clarkson, the Raptors have struggled in league play, but Bard has given up 12 goals in league games while mustering just two scores. Dylan McDonald is the team's top scorer with 13 points on six goals and an assist, with Casey Witte (3-0-6) and Val Thomson (1-3-5) each adding to the team's production. Abigail Stanley has a 1.87 goals against average with 48 saves and a .706 save percentage.
