With just one conference game played, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team will look to climb the Liberty League standings when the Golden Knights travel to play Vassar and Bard.

Clarkson is 4-4-0 this season with a 0-1-0 Liberty League record. The Golden Knights have the second highest scoring offense in the conference, averaging 2.750 goals per game. Lauren Flynn, who has 15 points on seven goals and one assist, is the top scorer for the Green and Gold. Flynn is tied for first in the conference in goals per game and second in points per game. Flynn is also moving up on the career scoring leaderboards for Clarkson. She is now tied for third in career goals with 18 and is seventh in career points. After scoring seven goals in the 2015 season, Flynn is now just the second Clarkson player to ever score at least seven goals in two different seasons. She also needs just one point to tie her single season career high of 16.

Vassar has a 2-5-1 overall record, but is 1-0-0 in conference games. The Brewers dominated Skidmore 7-1 to snap a six game winless streak. The seven goals Vassar scored represents half of the Brewers' season total. Audrey Pillsbury and Rebecca Andrews both have three goals to lead Vassar while Stephanie Tapolsky is tied for fifth in the Liberty League in saves with 24. Clarkson has an all-time record of 2-12-2 against the Brewers. A 1-1 tie in 2015 snapped a seven game winning streak for Vassar in the series. Courtney Black scored in the game for Clarkson.

Bard is 5-3-0 this season and is 0-1-0 in the Liberty League. The Raptors started their conference slate with a 2-1 loss at Union. Bard is a perfect 5-0-0 at home this year, but is 0-2-1 away from the friendly confines of Annandale-on-Hudson. Avalon Qian leads the team with eight points on three goals and two assists. Clarkson is 3-1-1 against Bard all-time, although the Raptors earned a 2-0 road win in 2015. Tori Sailor scored the game-winning goal against Bard in a 2-0 win in 2013 while Paige Spittler had an assist in the 3-2 win in 2014.

Clarkson will first take on Vassar at 4:00 pm on Friday before playing Bard at 1:00 pm on Saurday.
