An unselfish team player, Danielle Boudreau has emerged as a steady defenseman for the Golden Knights after beginning her career at Clarkson as a forward.  Boudreau was the recipient of Clarkson’s Ron Frazer Award last season, presented to a player who has proven to elevate her game in key situations and who has made significant contributions to the team’s success. As a sophomore in 2009-10, the Whitby, Ontario native was honored as Clarkson’s Coaches Award winner. The Knights’ assistant captain, Boudreau has helped to lead the Green and Gold to a 10-4-4 overall record entering this weekend’s non-league games at Niagara. The Knights are in second place in the ECAC Hockey standings with a 6-3-1 league mark.

Why Clarkson?
I like the small town, the hockey atmosphere and everything it had to offer.

What made you choose to play hockey and when did you start playing?
I was a late bloomer, I think 8 years old and because my sister and I needed something to do in our off season of soccer.

What’s the best part of playing?
Blocking shots.

Most Memorable Clarkson Hockey moment?
The ECAC finals at Cornell, even though we lost it was an unreal comeback.

Funniest person on your team?  
We don’t do funny. We’re serious.

Person who had the biggest influence on your life?
Four people. Gayle, Rock, Stephanie and Super Dog.

The most famous person you have met is?
My mom used to look like Terry Fox when she had a short afro so I am going to go with that.

Person in history you most like to meet?
Do dinosaurs count?

 
On what people would be surprised to know about you?
I thoroughly enjoy doing arts and crafts.

What’s the one thing you can’t live without?
Hailey Wood.

Its 2020 – where are you and what are you doing?
They’ve extended the years of eligibility and I am back on the blueline for the Clarkson Golden Knights.
