Clarkson University’s Women’s Hockey team will face a challenging task as it looks to break out of a lengthy losing skid when it plays two traditional ECAC Hockey powers on the road this weekend. The Golden Knights, guided by co-head coaches Matt and Shannon Desrosiers and assistant coach Matt Kelly, will face off against Dartmouth in Hanover, NH on Friday night, starting at 7:00 p.m., and then take on Harvard in Cambridge, MA on Saturday afternoon, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
The Green and Gold, who have suffered four straight losses, stand at 6-12-3 overall and are tied for ninth place in the ECAC Hockey standings with a 3-5-1 league mark. Clarkson, along with travel partner St. Lawrence, has played the least number of games in the conference. The Knights are six points out of fourth place.
After a 33-day layoff, Clarkson resumed play with two tough losses at Cheel Arena this past weekend. On Friday, the Knights became the fourth straight opponent to be shutout by Princeton as the visiting Tigers blanked the Green and Gold 2-0. On Saturday, Clarkson held leads of 1-0 and 2-1 before Quinnipiac squeaked out the victory on the road by winning 3-2 in overtime.
The Knights’ last victory was a 4-0 win over the University of Vermont at Cheel Arena on November 28. Clarkson’s last road victory was a 3-2 triumph at Syracuse University on November 5. The Knights are 2-7-1 outside of Potsdam this season.

Junior Juana Baribeau (Amos, QUE) follows closely behind with 11 points (4-7). Baribeau is striving to join Waldie in Clarkson’s century club. Through 97 career games, she has tallied 81 points (40-41). Freshman Jamie Lee Rattray (Kanata, ONT) is Clarkson’s leading playmaker with eight assists and is third on the Knights’ points chart with nine.

Harvard takes a 6-7-2 overall record and a 5-3-2 ECAC Hockey mark into Friday’s game against St. Lawrence. The Crimson are just 2-5 over their last seven games entering the weekend.
