For the third time this season, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team will be the start of a conference slate for its Liberty League foe, this time visiting Union College on Saturday afternoon in Schenectady.

The Series: The Golden Knights are unbeaten in the last four meetings with Union, gaining two straight ties after winning by a one goal margin in both 2022 and 2023. Last year's game saw the Garnet Chargers score in the opening minute of the game, but Clarkson picked up a goal just a few minutes into the second half to salvage a tie. 

Key Stats for Clarkson (5-3-0, 1-1-0 Liberty League): This is already the Knights' third conference game this year, the only team to have played multiple league contests. Sophomore Gabrielle Cyganik is one of 11 players to have scored a goal this year for the Green and Gold, but she is the lone player to have scored twice, doing so as a spark coming off the bench in two of Clarkson's last three contests. Her first goal came only 15 seconds after she entered the game against Skidmore College last week and the second came only 75 seconds after she hit the field in Tuesday's tilt against SUNY Potsdam. 

Key Stats for Union (2-3-2, 0-0-0 Liberty League): The Garnet Chargers have not had great luck in finding the back of the net this season despite outshooting opponents by a decent margin. Union has scored eight goals this year, but five of them came in a single contest against Smith College. Union is averaging just under 14 shots per game (97 total), including an 18-5 advantage against Eastern Connecticut on Wednesday, a game in which the Garnet Chargers fell 2-1. Maya Koster is playing well in goal for Union, posting a 0.91 goals against average.
