The Series: A year ago, Clarkson swept Union with a run-rule game score of 14-3 and then also eked out another win at 8-7, while the two teams split in 2024 and Union won all three games, including one in the Liberty League Tournament, in 2023. Ithaca and Clarkson met three times last year, splitting the regular-season doubleheader and the Bombers then taking a 4-3 decision during the Liberty League Tournament.

Key Stats for Clarkson (2-19, 0-6 Liberty League): If the Golden Knights can tighten up their defense, the damage done against the pitching staff should get reduced. Right now, extra chances for the opposition are hurting Clarkson to the tune of a .404/.461/.569 slash line. Clarkson's offense has been doing its best to keep up as Emily Bulone (.411/.450/.625 with 11 extra-base hits) and Lexi Rydelek (.295/.317/.574 with 11 extra-base hits, including three home runs) lead the way.

Key Stats for Union (10-14, 1-5 Liberty League): Union is getting most of its wins thanks to a strong offense that has three hitters with OPS numbers hovering around 1.000. Ellie Wintringer is batting .413/.435/.556 with 14 runs batted in, Carra Cleaves is hitting .385/.431/.654 with a pair of home runs and 14 runs scored, and Kyla Springer is knocking .382/.419/.574 with 16 runs scored and 15 more driven in. Union's top pitchers are getting touched up with WHIPs around the 1.80 mark.

Key Stats for Ithaca (14-7, 5-1 Liberty League): It is pick your poison with Ithaca's lineup as five regulars are hitting .338 or better. The top player in terms of average is Kailen Winkelblech at .379, but Madison Schoenenberger is slugging .667 thanks to four home runs in 49 plate appearances. Haley Petrucci has been one of the top catchers in the conference since her first season, including 12 home runs during her sophomore campaign. She is batting .370 in 2026. In the pitching circle, Mady Rowell has excellent numbers thus far, posting a 1.81 earned run average and WHIP of 1.08 in 62 innings of work.
