The Series: The Golden Knights are 20-4 all-time against the Brewers, but the matchup has been considerably closer in recent years, with the two teams splitting the last four and Clarkson holding a 5-4 edge over the last nine. Last year, the Brewers outscored Clarkson 4-1 in the fourth to gain an 11-10 win, scoring the game-winner with less than 90 seconds to play.

Key Stats for Clarkson (7-1, 1-0 Liberty League): Overshadowed somewhat by three-time All-American Matt Szwagulinski a year ago, senior Jack Garvey has stepped up to lead a strong Clarkson defense in 2026. A year ago, Garvey had 27 caused turnovers and 21 groundballs in 16 games, numbers that have nearly been repeated by the midway point of 2026 (23 caused turnovers and 23 groundballs). Garvey has been particularly strong in the past two games, where he has forced 11 turnovers against a pair of solid opponents in Ithaca College and SUNY Potsdam.

Key Stats for Vassar (4-4, 0-1 Liberty League): The Brewers boast a solid offense that is recording 13.63 goals per contest, led by Anderson Eads 23 goals and 33 total points, putting him in the top five in the league in both goals per game and points per game. Tate Tucker (19), Travis Heller (14), and Gavin Arcuri (11) have also reached double digits in goals for the Brewers. On the flip side, Vassar's defense ranks last in goals against average (13.25) and does not have a player that has registered double digits in caused turnovers through eight games.
