The Series: Clarkson took two out of three from the Tigers last year with two of the games going to extra innings and each game of the three-game series being decided by two runs or fewer. A homer from Caelen Kim sent game one into extras before a James Chagnon single in the bottom of the 11th scored Joe Figliolino for the walk-off win. RIT managed to get one back the following day, scoring three runs in the top of the 10th, to hold on for a 13-11 win.

Key Stats for Clarkson (7-4 Overall): CJ Kanick was selected to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for his performance on the mound over the past week. The sophomore tossed seven scoreless innings in a 10-0 win over Farmingdale State on March 13th, striking out 13 while allowing just one hit and one walk in his first start of the year. The 13 strikeouts were the most from a Clarkson pitcher since 2022. The Golden Knights defeated SUNY Oneonta 15-2 last time out, as the team would combine for 18 hits. Aidan Kuefner, James MasonJoe Figliolino, Beau Vardion, CJ Cartier and Nolan Merrow all finished with multi-hit outings.

Key Stats for RIT (5-7 Overall): The Tigers go into the weekend having lost three of their last four and having last played on March 10th after losing a scheduled doubleheader with St. John Fisher this past weekend due to weather. Opening their own trip to Florida on March 6th, RIT bested SUNY Maritime, 5-4, in a game that went to 17 innings. Maritime would score one in the top of the 17th but the Tigers responded with two in the bottom half of the frame thanks to a double from Sam Kulp to tie the game and an infield error to plate the winning run. Graduate Student Max Matteucci leads the team at the plate batting .395 and has had at least one hit in all 12 of his appearances so far this season.
