The Series: The Golden Knights are 11-2 all-time against Brockport, having won six straight since their last defeat in 2016. In the previous five meetings, Clarkson has outscored Brockport 75-27, nearly a 10-goal margin by average. Last year's contest was a 17-6 win for the Knights in which they spotted the Golden Eagles two goals at the start of the first, but finished with an 8-0 advantage in the second half.

Key Stats for Clarkson (4-0): Thus far, the Golden Knights defense ranks in the top five nationally as the team has allowed fewer than five goals per game (4.80) through its first four contests thanks to a strong goalkeeping and a suffocating group of defenders and long sticks. Griffin Emerson ranks among the national leaders in goals against average (4.38) and save percentage (.737). Offensively, Robert Fox ranks second in the Liberty League in both points per game (5.50) and assists per game (3.25).

Key Stats for Brockport (0-5): The Golden Eagles early season troubles can be traced back to a lack of possession, as the team ranks in the bottom portion of the national statistics in faceoff winning percentage (.328). That has led to a defense that is allowing a little over 14 goals per contest. Despite those numbers, several defenders have stood out, including Austin Thornhill and his six caused turnovers with 10 groundballs, Brady Donaghy's five caused turnovers and 11 groundballs, and Patrick Donahue's four caused turnovers with a team-best 12 groundballs. Daniel Wright (6-4-10) and Michael Dowden (4-6-10) are tied for the team lead in scoring.
