Cibelli Takes 12th in 1-Meter Dive at NCAA Regionals

New London, CT – Sophomore Gavin Cibelli finished 11th and 12th, respectively, in his two-day diving effort for the Clarkson University Swimming & Diving team as he competed at the NCAA Division III Diving Regionals, hosted by Connecticut College.

On Friday, Cibelli finished with a score of 359.25 points in the 3-meter dive, excelling particularly in the Back 1 ½ Somersault from the free position and in the Front 2 ½ Somersault from the pike position. On day two of the event, Cibeli scored 344.65 points on the 1-meter board, producing his top dives on the Front 2 ½ Somersault in the pike position and also on the Back Dive from the tuck position.

Cibelli was just the third Clarkson diver to compete in the NCAA Division III Regionals, joining Joseph Kozlowski (2018) and Brent Reid (2018-19).
