Schedule: Friday, 12:30 pm (Men's 3-M); Saturday, 12:00 noon (Men's 1-M)

The Event: Cibelli is one of only two Liberty League divers to be participating in this regional, as the majority of the conference qualifiers are participating at a different site. Most of the 41 entrants (both male and female) at the regional held at Connecticut College's Lott Natatorium are from New England schools or the tri-state area.

Cibelli is the first diver to participate in a regional since Brent Reid traveled to MIT in 2019. Both Reid and teammate Joseph Kozlowski participated in the regionals held at Middlebury back in 2018 as well. The score that Cibelli will be chasing on Friday in the 3-meter dive is Kozlowski's 390.75 in 2018, while the top 1-meter score for either Reid or Kozlowski was also by the latter swimmer during 2018 (410.70). Cibelli has been in the neighborhood of the two alums all season, eventually breaking the Clarkson record in the 3-meter dive with a score of 457.05 points during the Liberty League Championships last weekend.

Cibelli qualified for the regionals back in the first semester during the 11-dive scoring events at RIT. This year, he has averaged 433.68 points in the 1-meter dives (11-dive scoring only) and 415.84 points in the 3-meter dives (11-dive scoring only). Judges are somewhat more discerning at the NCAA Regional level, so those scores may or may not be in line with Cibelli's totals this weekend. What is certain is that Cibelli has improved in his second year of diving with the Golden Knights. His highest score in 2024-25 in the 1-meter was 365.10 points, well below his average achieved this year, while his high score in the 3-meter last season (351.80) was also well short of his point totals in 2025-26.
