Tuesday's tilt is the final non-conference game of the year for the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team, and the intensity should be high when the Golden Knights host crosstown foe SUNY Potsdam at Hantz Field.

The Series: SUNY Potsdam came away with a 2-0 win against the Golden Knights a year ago when Clarkson was resting many of its starters for the final league game and the playoffs last season. Nevertheless, the defeat ended a six0game winning streak by Clarkson against the Bears.

Key Stats for Clarkson (5-3-3): Ten days ago, it appeared as if Bodie Smith would run away with the scoring lead for the Golden Knights, but two more Clarkson players have seen their point totals swell recently. Zach Ruthfield has scored three goals in the last two games to push his total to nine points on the year (4-1-9) while Paul Rolland has notched three assists in that same stretch, advancing his numbers to eight points (2-4-8).

Key Stats for SUNY Potsdam (6-5-2): The Bears have been shut out only once in the 2026 season, a 3-0 blanking against Plattsburgh State, and have at least one goal in 12 of 13 contests. Thomas Wendel leads the squad at 13 points (6-1-13) and few have been unimportant, as he has recorded four game-winning goals. Wyatt Mokey (4-2-10), Kyan Tiede (2-5-9), and Logan Bush (3-2-8) also bolster the Potsdam offense.
