Canton, NY – Evan Paneras, Mason Cartier, and Dani McDonald each won multiple events for the Clarkson University Swimming & Diving program as the Golden Knights competed in a tri-meet against Union College and host St. Lawrence University on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Knights' men picked up wins in each of their decisions against Union and SLU, downing the Garnet Chargers 165-128 and beating SLU 229-52, while the women had narrow losses to both teams, falling by just four points against the Saints (138-134) and 27 points to Union (155-128).

Mason Cartier won a pair of backstroke events for the Knights, claiming the top spot in the 50 backstroke (25.22) and later the 100 backstroke (55.31). Paneras likewise won two short specialty events, taking both the 50 butterfly (23.70) and 100 butterfly (52.31).

Gavin Cibelli also had the top scores in the diving events, winning the 1-meter (253.95) and the 3-meter (265.35).

Clarkson's 200 medley relay of Cartier, Matthew Sitarek, Paneras, and Stuhler combined to win that event in 1:37.34, while the foursome of White, Paneras, Everett, and Stuhler took second in the 400 freestyle relay to close out the meet.

The Golden Knights' women won the 400 freestyle relay at the conclusion of their day, as the group of Katelyn Otis, Natasha Hurff, Kirsten Iles, and Paige Davis combined for 3:59.42. The other relay, consisting of Davis, Huff, McDonald, and Abigail Szyprowski, took second in the 200 medley relay in 2:01.98.
