Wilmington, NY – Senior Ariana Welter and freshman Gavin Ebert both finished in the top 15 of their respective races to help lead the Clarkson University Alpine Ski team on day two of the Clarkson Carnival at Whiteface Mountain.

The Golden Knights' men finished second among eight MacConnell Division teams, while Clarkson's women also placed second among the conference squads.

Gavin Ebert was the top skier for the Golden Knights' men for the fifth straight race, finishing 14th overall out of 106 skiers with a time of 2:07.95 in the giant slalom on Sunday. Separated by just .13 seconds a little further down the leaderboard were sophomore Edouard Brochu and freshman Aleksa Lalic, finishing back-to-back in 30th and 31st in 2:12.35 and 2:12.48, respectively. That trio closed out Clarkson's team time, combining for 6:32.78.

Only four other Clarkson skiers were able to finish both of their runs on Sunday. Reed Martin took 35th (2:14.62), Pedro Gonzalez was 39th (2:15.63), Jackson Knobloch took 41st (2:16.07), and Colin Cotter came in 42nd (2:17.08).
