Clarkson Slalom Places Fourth at USCSA Nationals

Wilmington, NY – Jackson Knobloch finished in the top 10 for the Clarkson University Alpine Ski team, as the Golden Knights' men took fourth in the slalom on Friday at the USCSA National Championships, held at Whiteface Mountain.

The Golden Knights were fourth among 26 teams in the slalom, allowing them to take third overall at the USCSA Nationals.

Knobloch was the top performer for Clarkson, taking ninth overall out of 128 skiers with a time of 1:33.58, finishing in the top 16 in both runs. Edouard Brochu was next for Clarkson, taking 19th overall in 1:35.17, jumping from the 30th spot after his first run thanks to posting the ninth-fastest time in the second run. Reed Martin also improved his slotting, coming in 25th overall in 1:37.07 with a 32nd-place finish in the first run and a 23rd-place spot in the second run. That closed out Clarkson's team time of 4:45.82. Pedro Gonzalez wasn't far out of the time for the Knights, as he took 33rd overall in 1:40.64. Aleksa Lalic did not finish his first run.
