Despite expected frigid temperatures throughout the weekend, the Clarkson University Alpine Ski team will be joined by the rest of the MacConnell Division as well as other competing schools for FIS races this weekend at Whiteface Mountain in Wilmington, NY.

MacConnell Division: The season is just two weekends old so plenty of movement is still possible with low results being dropped from the scoring system. Clarkson's men currently reside in second thanks to three runner-up finishes and a fourth-place showing, while the Golden Knights' women are fourth with a pair of third-place finishes and two fourth-place results.

Clarkson Men: Only one of Clarkson's top skiers has finished all four races, creating some potential shuffling in the standings down the road depending on future footing in the final six regular-season races. Jackson Knobloch is ninth in the overall standings of the MacConnell Division, having finished eighth on three occasions and 11th in the other race, but two other Clarkson skiers are just ahead of him due to higher placements in some of those races. Gavin Ebert did not finish his first event of the season, but he was on the podium once with a third-place finish and added in two fifth-place finishes to put himself in sixth nearing the halfway point of the regular season. Edouard Brochu had one DNF last weekend, but his two fifth-places and one eighth have him in the top 10 as well. Aleksa Lalic is just outside of the top 10 as well, as he is currently 12th in the overall standings.

Clarkson Women: A few falls have prevented the Golden Knights' women from placing higher in the standings thus far. Only Parker Seitzer has completed all four races for the Knights, finishing between 18th and 22nd each time to put her in 22nd in the standings. Elyse Donaghue was first among MacConnell Division racers in one race and ninth in another to place her seventh overall, while Hannah Goetz sits in 12th right now with two top-10 finishes. Lilyann Fisher is actually third among Clarkson skiers despite finishing just a single race, as she placed fifth in the opening competition of the season, giving her enough points for the 21st spot. Ariana Welter has a pair of top-20 finishes to put her 28th, while Charlotte Talbot, Hannah Nolett, and Kyla Butler have each competed for just one weekend, putting their point totals at a disadvantage at this point of the year.
