Andover, NH – Freshman Gavin Ebert was the top skier for the third straight race for the Clarkson University Alpine Ski team, and Hannah Goetz topped the performances for the Golden Knights on the women's side as the Green and Gold closed out their second two-day race in less than a week on Saturday afternoon at the Proctor Ski Area.

The Golden Knights' men placed second out of eight teams on back-to-back days while the Clarkson women finished third on a day when the top skiers for many teams struggled to maintain their skies.

Ebert started his day by placing 21stt out of 138 skiers in the first run, but was even more impressive in his second run when he took seventh, combining for a 1:27.93 time in two runs to take 14th overall in the slalom. Jackson Knobloch also took a significant leap in the standings thanks to his second run, jumping up to 27th overall in 1:29.87. The Golden Knights closed out their team score when Aleksa Lalic placed 34th on the long list of participants, finishing in 1:30.54.

Further down the standings, five more Clarkson skiers were in the top half of participants. Braden Kruk came in 50th in 1:32.98 and Noah Marino was right on his tail in 51st at 1:32.99. Taking 60th was Pedro Gonzalez in 1:34.20, Reed Martin jumped up to 64th with a strong second run for 1:34.95, and Colin Cotter ended up in 66th in 1:35.53. Adin Freeman also placed 71st (1:36.87) and Cole Rodman was 78th (1:40.73). Both Edouard Brochu and James Tucker lost their skies on the first run and did not finish.

On the women's side, two skiers fell on the first run and a third dropped out of the race on the second run, but the Knights nevertheless finished third in the team standings as several key skiers on a few contenders also had trouble on the slopes. Hannah Goetz placed 34th out of 99 skiers with a time of 1:37.33 to top the Clarkson skiers. First-year collegians Hannah Talbott and Parker Seitzer rounded out Clarkson's top three. Talbott finished 40th in the standings with a time of 1:42.62 and Seitzer ended up 51st in 1:46.14.
