Fisher and Brochu Top Times for Knights in Maine

Sunday River, ME – Sophomore Edouard Brochu and first-year LilyAnn Fisher headlined the Clarkson University Alpine Ski team's first competitive day on the slopes as the Golden Knights opened up 2026 in a FIS slalom race hosted by Brown University at Sunday River Resort.

Both of the Golden Knights' team finished in the top half of MacConnell Division participants in the first of 10 regular-season races this winter.

Fisher was the top finisher on either side for the Golden Knights, placing 18th among 79 competitors in the women's slalom race. She was 26th after the first run, but her second trip down the hill was more than a second faster, as she ended up with a time of 1:34.84. Senior Ariana Welter was next for the Knights, taking the 37th spot in 1:42.96 and Parker Seitzer closed out Clarkson's team time with a finish of 1:46.09, good enough for 41st. Hannah Nolett was 44th in 1:52.54. Both Elyse Donaghue and Hannah Goetz were in Clarkson's top four after the first run, but neither finished their second trip down the hill.

Times were generally slower in the second run after the course was recalibrated at the midpoint for the men. Brochu was 31st with a time of 43.68 seconds in his first run and was 24th in his second run of 48.23 seconds, finishing 25th overall in a field of 113 skiers with a time of 1:31.91. Jackson Knobloch was next for Clarkson, coming in 32nd in 1:33.65, and Pedro Gonzalez ended up in 36th place in 1:37.48. Finish back-to-back in 45th and 46th were Noah Marino and Reed Martin, who closed with times of 1:45.17 and 1:45.99, respectively. Colin Cotter, Gavin Ebert, Aleksa Lalic, and James Tucker did not finish their first runs.
