Matthews Selected Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week

Graduate student Connor Matthews of the Clarkson University Men's Lacrosse team had a big week for the Golden Knights, and the conference office took notice when the Liberty League announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon.

Matthews was selected as the Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week, as he produced nine points in two games. Matthews scored four points with three goals and one assist in a 19-7 victory over SUNY Potsdam on Tuesday and followed up that performance with five goals in am 11-7 conference win over Skidmore College on Saturday afternoon.

For the season, Matthews is tied for the team lead in points with 33 thanks to a Clarkson best 23 goals. He is tied for 10th in the Liberty League in points per game (2.00), is ninth in goals per game (2.09), and is 10th in shots per game (6.55).
