For the second time in eight days the Clarkson University Men's Lacrosse team will be challenged by a foe from the SUNYAC when the team travels to face Oswego State on Wednesday afternoon.

The Series: The Golden Knights are 12-1 all-time against Oswego State, including three straight wins in the past four seasons. Those last three contests dating back to early 2020 have come by a combined score of 47-12. The last time the Knights played at Oswego State they shut out the Lakers 13-0.

Key Stats for Clarkson (1-2): Connor Matthews and Thomas Fiebich both enjoyed solid outings against the Lakers a year ago, with Matthews scoring six goals and Fiebich finding teammates for six assists. Fiebich has six assists this season, producing seven points overall to rank third on the team. Sebastian Geiger has posted team-highs thus far in both goals (8) and points (10) with Matt Reilly close behind (6-2-8). Alex Seiler and Andrew Kearney have both contributed as well with five goals apiece. Griffin Emerson is averaging 11 saves per game with a .559 save percentage and an 8.99 goals against average.

Key Stats for Oswego State (0-2): The Lakers suffered a narrow loss to Hartwick to open the season and then fell by double figures to Skidmore College to start the season. Offensively, Liam Sexton (5-0-5), Garrett Elston (4-1-5), and Hayden Coney (2-3-5) are tied for the team lead in points. Elston had the best showing against Clarkson last year for the Lakers, scoring three points with two goals and an assist.
