Men's Hockey

Clarkson hosts Brown to kick off 60th Anniversary of Pep Band

After a weekend sweep in the Capital District, the Golden Knights come home ranked 19th in the country and look to extend their winning streak in ECAC play when they host Brown and Yale.  Brown comes in 0-3-1 and Yale 1-4-1.
This will be a special weekend in Section 17, as the Pep Band celebrates 60 years of torturing opposing goalies! The Clarkson Pep Band and their Alumni will be proudly marking its diamond anniversary. During the spring of 1964 a group of Clarkson students got together with the idea to form a new club. One which would change the musical landscape for college bands. Today that tradition continues. Clarkson Hockey is deeply grateful to the members, alumni, supporters and university who have made this milestone possible. Congratulations to the Pep Band on 60 raucous years!

In honor of their first game back in 1964, a Nov. 18th 5-3 win over the Montagnards at Walker Arena, the Knights will be paying tribute to that era tonight when they take the ice.  That '64-'65 team went 18-7 and was led by All American Goalie, Terry Yurkiewicz.

Tonight, Clarkson enters the game on 4 game unbeaten streak and a road ECAC sweep over Union and RPI.  The Knights made their debut in both national polls this week as the 19th ranked team in the country.  Clarkson has relied on great goaltending from Ethan Langenegger and stingy team defense, allowing 2.08 goals per game and a nationally ranked penalty kill, at 87.5%.

Ayrton Martino was honored as the Bluebird Hotels ECAC Forward of the Week and Luka Sukovic was named the Bitcoin ECAC Rookie of the Week.

Clarkson Hockey is proud to host St. Lawrence County's First Responders tonight.  Brave Men and Women from across the region will be at Cheel tonight as guests of the University in honor and thanks for their service to us all.

Tonight's game can be streamed on ESPN+ and heard live on B99.3FM with Bob Ahlfeld.
