Hayden and Goetz Runners-Up for Knights at St. Anselm Invitational

Henniker, NH – Hannah Goetz and Sam Hayden took the runner-up spots in their respective races, as the Clarkson University Alpine Ski team closed out its regular season at the St. Anselm Invitational held at Pats Peak Ski Area.

The Golden Knights' men took third out of eight teams, while Clarkson's women edged up to the second place spot out of nine teams.

Sam Hayden was about a second off the pace in his two trips down the hill for a time of 1:29.40, coming in second out of 75 skiers. Evan Wetzel tied for 21st in 1:36.08 and Dylan West came in 32nd in 1:41.05 to close out Clarkson's team time. Zach Zientko was on Clarkson's 'B' team, but placed 14th in 1:34.86, while Noah Marino (23rd, 1:36.08) and Aristotle Ninos (24th, 1:36.69) also placed in the top 25.

For the women, Hannah Goetz was about 1.5 seconds behind the leader for second place (out of 54 skiers) with a time of 1:40.25. Elyse Donaghue took the sixth spot in 1:45.20 and Kylie Brino came in 15th with a time of 1:50.10 to finish off the Golden Knights' scoring trio. Shannon Quiles (18th, 1:50.89), Kyla Butler (23rd, 1:54.37), and Abigail Jacunski (29th, 2:08.25) also ranked in the top 30.
