Back in action for the first time in several weeks, the Clarkson University Men's Lacrosse team will head to Ithaca College to open up Liberty League play on Saturday afternoon.

The Series: Ithaca became a Liberty League member for lacrosse starting in the 2018 season and has defeated the Golden Knights in three meetings since then, including a conference playoff game. Overall, the Golden Knights have won eight games in 35 all-time meetings.

Key Stats for Clarkson (2-3, 0-0 Liberty League): All three of Clarkson's losses have come to nationally-ranked teams, most recently dropping an 11-9 decision to SUNY Cortland on March 23rd. Clarkson possesses a diverse offense with five different players having scored at least eight goals so far. Pierce Currie eclipsed the 100-point mark and has a team-best 15 goals while sophomore Sebastian Geiger is just behind the grad student with 13 goals. Conor Bartlett leads the squad with 23 points on eight goals and 15 assists. Defensively, Connor Borchardt has caused eight turnovers while both Max Hoffer and Matt Szwagulinski each have six caused turnovers.

Key Stats for Ithaca (2-1, 0-0 Liberty League): Goalkeeper Connor Thornton played well in his last game against the Golden Knights, allowing just four goals and making 12 saves in 52-plus minutes of a victory over Clarkson. Demetri Lowry and Hunter Wallace have combined to cause 17 turnovers with 29 groundballs on the defensive end. John Sramac leads the team in scoring with 14 points on 10 goals and four assists while both Jake Erickson and Drew Turner have scored seven goals apiece.
