Live Stats/Live Video

The Series:
RPI leads the series 32-24 all-time, but the Golden Knights have held the advantage in the past dozen years, winning eight of 13 meetings. The two teams had split in the last four years, but RPI claimed a 20-8 win a week ago, holding advantages in shots (60-37), shots on goal (36-18), groundballs (53-26) and faceoffs (25-7) in that contest.

Key Stats for Clarkson (8-7, 3-5 Liberty League, #6 seed): The Golden Knights saw their two top scorers shut out against Ithaca on Wednesday, something that cannot happen again if the Green and Gold are to advance against the Engineers. Conor Bartlett leads the team in scoring at 48 points (28-20-48), but was held off the scoresheet for just the second time in his collegiate career, while Currie, one of the top goal scorers in the Liberty League with 31 goals in 12 games, was also quieted. Clarkson will also look to try to increase its efficiency on loose balls, a skill in which Derek Beatty excels. The junior long stick midfielder is second on the team in groundballs and is tied for the team lead with 17 caused turnovers, three of which came against the Engineers in the first meeting.

Key Stats for Rensselaer (11-4, 5-3 Liberty League, #3 seed): The Engineers are one of four teams in the Liberty League to rank in the top 20 in the country and one of five to have a top 15 regional ranking in the North. RPI is second in the league in scoring, averaging close to 15 goals per game with three players ranking in the top 10 in the conference in goals per game. Owen Putman leads the league in total goals (47) while Cooper Urban (35) and JT Kelly (34) have also found the net with great frequency. Kelly also finds his teammate regularly with a league-high 37 assists for 71 points, also the most in the conference. Putman is only four points behind Kelly for second in the league in scoring with 67 points. Lucas Bastarache's 47 points should also not be ignored as he scored six points against the Knights in the first game. Keaton Ackerman leads the Engineers on the defensive side of things with 31 groundballs and a league-best 2.20 caused turnovers per game (33 total).
