Just a single game remains on the regular-season slate for the Clarkson University Men's Lacrosse team, but where the team will play in the upcoming Liberty League playoffs won't be determined until after its game against Ithaca College on Wednesday afternoon.

Live Stats/Live Video

The Series: The Golden Knights lost the regular-season finale and a first-round playoff game against Ithaca last year by similar scores (14-7 finale, 12-7 playoffs). Those were the first two games that the teams had played against one another since 2000.

Key Stats for Clarkson (8-6, 3-4 Liberty League): Junior Liam St. Croix, a two-time Liberty League All-Star, produced solid numbers against Ithaca in the regular-season finale, posting four groundballs and four caused turnovers in that matchup. This year he ranks third on the team in groundballs (33) and fourth in caused turnovers (11). Classmate Derek Beatty is producing nice numbers in the midfield, scooping up 36 groundballs with 17 caused turnovers, the latter figure leading the team and the former ranking second on the squad. Junior Conor Bartlett posted five points in two games against the Bombers last year and leads Clarkson with 48 tallies this year, scoring 28 goals and assisting on 20 others.

Key Stats for Ithaca (8-5, 4-3 Liberty League): For a team on the verge of clinching a playoff spot and possibly being four games over .500 (though one of those wins is a forfeit), the Bombers are surprisingly even in goals for and goals against. Ithaca has found the net 143 times but allowed 137 goals. Senior midfielder Josh Della Puca leads the team in scoring with 39 points despite missing two games and Connor Brumfield is next with 38 points. The duo performed well in two contests last year against the Knights, with Della Puca scoring seven points (four goals, three assists) in two games and Brumfield scoring five goals in the playoff contest. Ithaca ranks second in the league in caused turnovers per game. Jake Hall-Goldman has 26 in that category, while Aaron McCartney (19), Brendan King (16) and Sean Seaberg (14) have each reached double digits while also compiling 35 or more groundballs.
