Clarkson Women's Hockey at 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship

There will be plenty of Green and Gold in Espoo, Finland this month as Clarkson University Women's Hockey is well represented at the 2019 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Women's World Championship.

Four former Golden Knight all-stars and Clarkson Head Coach Matt Desrosiers will be helping Team Canada in its quest for the championship title. Defensemen Erin Ambrose '16 and Renata Fast '16 and Patty Kazmaier Award winning forwards Loren Gabel '19 and Jamie Lee Rattray '14 will be skating for Canada in the tournament which will take place from April 4-14.

Current Clarkson standout center Michaela Pejzlova '20 will be playing for the Czech Republic.

Tournament play begins on April 4 with Canada taking on Switzerland at 9:00 a.m. ET in Group A Preliminary round action. Along with Canada and Switzerland, Finland, Russia and the United States make up Group A.

The Czech Republic is in Group B with France, Germany, Japan and Sweden. The Czech begin play on Friday, April 5 against France with a 9:00 a.m. ET match up.
