After playing through stormy weather on Tuesday, the Clarkson University Men's Lacrosse team looks to get back on track in sunny skies against Babson College on Thursday at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

The Series: Despite reasonable proximity, the Golden Knights have never faced Babson College in their 60-year history.

Key Stats for Clarkson (4-2): It's not surprising that upperclassmen will surpass previous season totals as they mature and continue to excel, but juniors Evan Burgett and Tanner Cioffi are doing so very early in 2019. Burgett produced 14 points on 10 goals and four assists last year but has already recorded 15 points (11-4-15) through just six games this season. More impressively, Burgett has nearly doubled his groundball output from a year ago with 17 in 2019 against just nine in 2018. Classmate Cioffi has exactly matched his scoring numbers from last season with 10 goals and three assists for 13 points. Conor Bartlett, another junior, has a long way to go to reach the lofty numbers of a year ago when he led the team with 53 points, but he already has 22 tallies this year with 12 goals and 10 assists. He currently ranks 16th in program history in assists with 55 and needs just nine more to enter the top 10.

Key Stats for Babson (3-4): The Beavers may become honorary members of the Liberty League next year. When Babson faces Clarkson on Thursday, the Beavers will have faced five of the nine teams in the Liberty League. Babson is 2-2 so far against Liberty League teams, beating Skidmore (15-9) and Vassar (13-8) but losing to Union (17-5) and Rensselaer (14-8). Samuel Mishkind leads the team in scoring and enjoyed a big game versus Vassar with seven goals and an assist, pushing his season totals to 19 goals and four assists for 23 points. Niall Dillon is second on the team in scoring with 15 points, scoring seven goals and assisting on eight others. Jack Tague leads the team with 21 groundballs and 10 caused turnovers while long stick midfielders John Antaya and Tyler Patterson have also produced well in those categories. Antaya has eight caused turnovers and 18 groundballs and Patterson has scooped up 19 groundballs to go along with his seven caused turnovers.
