Will Coleman Picked for Pair of All-Region Squads

Senior Will Coleman of the Clarkson University Baseball team earned two more honors this week as both the ABCA and d3baseball.com announced their all-region teams.

Coleman, who was named a Liberty League First-Team All-Star and the conference's Co-Pitcher of the Year, was picked for d3baseball.com New York All-Region Second-Team honors and was chosen as an ABCA/Rawlings New York All-Region Third-Team selection. It marked the fourth straight year that at least one Clarkson player was named as an All-Region All-Star.

Coleman won just a pair of games during his senior season, but his peripheral numbers were too impressive to ignore. Coleman tossed 47.1 innings overall, striking out 59 hitters against just seven walks (two intentional) and 39 hits. He allowed a .227 batting average, .273 on-base percentage and .308 slugging percentage. With only eight teams left competing for the national title, Coleman ranks 20th in the country in earned run average (1.52), 13th in strikeout-to-walk ratio (8.43), 34th in strikeouts per nine innings (11.22), and tied for 28th in WHIP (0.97). Coleman was the finishing pitcher in all nine of his appearances for the Knights, throwing six complete games and earning a pair of saves.
