Potsdam, NY - Freshman Rob Wood (Westford, VT) paced the Clarkson University Golf team with a five-over par 77 to lead the Golden Knights to a second-place finish in the Potsdam/Clarkson Invitational at the par-72 Potsdam Town and Country Club.
Potsdam State won the tournament with a score of 306, with Clarkson (329) and Oswego State (331) rounding out the three-team meet.
Wood placed third overall with his 77, trailing a pair of golfers from Potsdam. In fourth place was Joel Bailey (Boonville, NY), while Brendan LaFleur (Sandown, NH) was third for the Knights with a score of 84. Mike Wiegand (New Hartford, NY) and Taylor Dwyer (Ballston Spa, NY) rounded out Clarkson's five golfers with scores of 90 and 92, respectively.
