With apologies to the remainder of the Liberty League, the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team likely has its two toughest challenges of the schedule this week, beginning with sixth-ranked St. Lawrence University on Wednesday afternoon in Canton.

The Series: The Golden Knights suffered a 2-0 defeat at Hantz Field last year against the Saints. The last victory for the Green and Gold came in 2016 when an own goal proved the difference as Michael King made 10 saves for the shutout.

Key Stats for Clarkson (4-2-2, 0-1-1 Liberty League): The Golden Knights are off to a solid start on offense this year, but need a few more goals in league contests to gain their first win. Oddly, Clarkson has had greater success away from home in recent years versus the Saints, posting ties in each of the last two games in Canton. The last win over Clarkson on the Saints' home turf came in 2018.

Key Stats for St. Lawrence (7-0-1, 2-0-0 Liberty League): It has been a rapid turn-around for SLU following a 6-10-0 campaign in 2025, as the team has already topped their win total from a year ago. Sammy Bothwell (5-2-12) and Nicholas Petrone (3-6-12) lead the team on offense. Only five teams in NCAA Division III have allowed fewer goals than SLU in 2026, as Zach Amato has a 0.27 goals against average (7th nationally) and .929 save percentage (8th nationally).
