The Series: The two teams have met 16 times prior to Saturday's games, with the majority of those coming since the Tigers joined the Liberty League for the 2011-12 calendar year. Clarkson is 6-10 all-time against RIT, but won last year's contest 14-11. The Knights led 9-4 at the half and withstood a strong comeback attempt from RIT, holding on for the win thanks to two goals from Madelynn Barnum late in the fourth quarter.

Key Stats for Clarkson (7-2, 2-1 Liberty League): Makenna Cassin now has company in her pursuit of setting the single-season program record for caused turnovers in a season, as Mea Tranquilli had a strong week and has caught her teammate for the team lead with 20. The school mark of 32 was set by Nikki Corso in 2009 and then matched by Madelynn Barnum in 2024. Saturday's game was the exact midpoint of the regular season, giving each player eight more games to surpass the total. On the other end of the field, Gabby Cranfield needs seven more assists to reach 100 for her career.

Key Stats for RIT (8-1, 2-1 Liberty League): The Tigers and Clarkson are tied for the highest scoring offenses in the Liberty League at 14.22 goals per game, but RIT's success has come down more frequently to its defense. Goalkeeper Ellie Ruddy has a 6.19 goals against average with a .520 save percentage on the season through 465 total minutes, though two of three Liberty League games have seen the Tigers give up double figures in goals, going 1-1 in those contests. Zoe Heffernan leads the team in goals (27) and points (30), but RIT has four other players that have surpassed 20 points this year. One is Adele Jones (18-3-21), who scored four goals and had 10 draw controls in last year's matchup against the Knights.
