The Series: Since the Cardinals launched their program, the Golden Knights are unbeaten in five meetings dating back to 2019. Clarkson has twice scored 24 goals in a game, just one shy of its program mark of 25 sets against SUNY Potsdam in 2023. Fourteen players registered at least one point in last year's game and Clarkson held the Cardinals scoreless in the second half.

Key Stats for Clarkson (3-1): Since a season-opening loss to top-20 ranked St. John Fisher, the Golden Knights have averaged 16 goals per game with a margin of victory approaching double digits. That latter number is skewed by an 18-goal win against SUNY Potsdam, but the former has been consistent, as the team has scored at least 14 goals in each contest over the past 10 days. Juniors Gabby Cranfield and Makenna Cassin have been a big part of that, as Cranfield leads the Liberty League in points per game (6.25) thanks to 12 goals and 13 assists and Cassin has been all over the field, causing 11 turnovers with 12 groundballs while also contributing nine points on seven goals and two assists.

Key Stats for Plattsburgh State (1-2): The Cardinals have scored 31 goals through three games, but like Clarkson, that number is heavily influenced by a season-opening 18 goals against Russell Sage. Plattsburgh's Aimee Lieman has been consistent in the crease with a 9.00 goals against average and .438 save percentage, racking up nine saves in each of the past two contests. Offensively, Ellie MacDonald (6-4-10), Cynthia Barnosky (6-2-8), and Ashley O'Hara (3-5-8) are vying for the team lead in points. O'Hara also tops the squad in both draw controls (10) and caused turnovers (6).
