The fall semester's dual meet schedule will come to a close for the Clarkson University Swimming & Diving team this weekend when the team hosts Saint Michael's College on Saturday afternoon at Fuller Pool.

Live Video

The Meet: An 36-event meet (men's and women's combined), the day will begin with a 200 medley relay and will be followed with the 800 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, and 50 freestyle. There will be a break in the pool as the teams go to the deep end for the women's 1-meter dive and men's 3-meter before resuming with the 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, 400 freestyle, and 100 butterfly. The women's 3-meter and men's 1-meter will then take place just prior to the 200 individual medley and 200 freestyle relay.

The History: Over the past five years, the Golden Knights' men have averaged a winning margin of 82.4 points, very close to the margin of last year's victory (77). The Clarkson women have suffered three straight defeats against Saint Michael's, last beating the Purple Knights by 65 in 2022.

The Men: Seniors Gavin Stuhler and Andrew Sammons have enjoyed plenty of success against Saint Michael's since their first season with the Golden Knights. Stuhler has won the 100 freestyle over teammates and St. Mike's for three consecutive years and has added in wins in the 50 freestyle in each of the past two seasons. Likewise, Sammons has three straight wins in the 100 breaststroke against the Purple Knights, and tacking on wins in the 200 breaststroke races each of the last two meetings. Evan Paneras also swept two races (100 butterfly, 200 butterfly) a year ago against St. Mike's. Gavin Cibelli, who won both diving events in 2025, looks to remain unbeaten this fall as he has eight straight victories in the dual meet season.

The Women: Clarkson will be bolstered by junior Aurora Zary now that the soccer season has concluded for the Golden Knights. Zary had a pair of runner-up spots in her first races of the fall against St. Lawrence last Friday and looks to repeat her performances against St. Mike's. Zary won both of the backstroke events a year ago, the 100 backstroke by just under four seconds and the 200 backstroke by 7.65 seconds. She also won those same events against the Purple Knights in 2024-25. Paige Davis had a pair of second-place finishes against St. Mike's last year, taking the runner-up position in the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley in 2025.
