COGO Weekend at Cheel as ECAC Title is up for grabs

It's COGO Weekend on Campus and there is an excitement as Friday night will a feature a #1 vs #2 showdown with the Regular Season Title at stake.
Heading into the weekend, the Knights sit in 2nd place in the ECAC with 42 points.  They have locked in a top 4 finish and an opening round bye.  Quinnipiac has clinched top 2 seed, and sits 4 points ahead of the Knights.  To claim the ECAC Regular Season Title, the Knights need to win on Friday vs Quinnipiac and then get a result on Saturday that allows them to gain 1 point on Quinnipiac.  If the two teams end tied in points, the Knights will own the tiebreak head to head provided they win on Fri.
Clarkson can clinch the #2 seed with 2 points on the weekend.  Even 1 point should clinch the #2 seed, as the own most tie breaks vs Colgate and Union.

Clarkson has reached the 20 win mark in a season for the 33rd time.  J.F. Houle is the only coach at Clarkson to reach 20 wins in their first season.  Since the tie against Colgate on Jan. 31st,  Clarkson has won 6 and tied 1 game and moved from 5th to 2nd place.  Ayrton Martino has scored 6 goals and 9 assists so far in February.  He was named the ECAC Forward of the Month for Jan. and then the ECAC Forward of the Week last week.  Martino is tied for the best in the NCAA and tops in the ECAC for Game Winning goals with 8 on the season.   Martino is also 5th in the NCAA for Goals per game (0.66) which is the best in the ECAC.   When Martino scores the Knights are 13-1-0 and 9-1-1 when he records 2 or more points.
