Although the calendar hasn't turned to April yet, the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team will celebrate its Senior Day on Saturday in advance of the Golden Knights contest against University of Rochester.

The Series: Although the Knights have won only seven times in 35 meetings against Rochester, the Yellowjackets' 17-12 win in 2023 was the team's first since 2017, breaking a three-game win streak for the Golden Knights.

Key Stats for Clarkson (7-1, 2-0 Liberty League): Each of the six student-athletes to be honored has another year of eligibility due to the COVID exemption from 2020-2021, but in case the players decide not to return for an additional season the team will honor each. Graduate student Julia Lavarnway leads the conference with 5.75 points per game and 3.50 assists per game (18-28-48) while senior Madelynn Barnum is tops in goals per game (4.63) and is third in points per game (5.13). Senior Rylee Ganter is also in the top 10 in the conference in caused turnovers per game (1.50).

Key Stats for Rochester (4-3, 1-1 Liberty League): Alyssa Gorny and Grace Crochiere each had significant contributions to the Yellowjackets' win over Clarkson a year ago, as both players scored five goals in the contest. Gorny is scoring at a solid pace with 20 goals and 10 assists for 30 points, putting her in the top 10 in the conference along with teammate Gracie Giannettino (18-11-29). Crochiere enjoyed one of her bigger games of the year against the Knights last season and is again contributing across the board with nine points (7-2-9), 29 draw controls, 9 caused turnovers, and a league-best 3.29 groundballs per game (23 total).
