Richter and Magnus Take 4th in 10K Relay at VIC

Paul Smiths, NY – Grad student Kai Richter and senior Lillian Magnus of the Clarkson University Nordic Ski team combined to finish a 10K relay in 24 minutes, 48.6 seconds to headline the Golden Knights on day one of the Paul Smiths Bobcat Invitational, held at the Visitor Interpretive Center.

The Golden Knights' top team of Richter and Magnus finished fourth overall (out of 46 total teams) and was third among scoring teams out of the 10 full participating schools.

10K Co-Ed Relay Results

Richter and Magnus were 1:38.8 off the pace from a pair of Paul Smiths skiers, with the Bobcats also finishing second. Two Cornell skiers were 47.3 seconds ahead of the Knights' top team. Conner Roberts and Skylar Francis were slightly further down the list, finishing in 25:03.4, good enough for seventh place in the field. Oliver Dolcino and Raegan Joly concluded their 10K relay in 28:38.9 to take 23rd place and Konrad Kremzner and Sadie Williams finished in 35th place with a time of 31:22.2. Andrew Kanclerz and Clare Janas also came in 43rd in 39:22.8.

Clarkson also saw Adam Jansen and Torsten Brickley combine for 24:08.6, which was outside the co-ed relay. In mixed-school results, Noah Payne and a Smith College skier were 15th and Derek Ferreira and another skier from Smith finished in 38th.
