Clarkson Closes Out USCSA National Championships in Team Sprint

Lake Placid, NY - The final race of the USCSA Nordic National Championships went on without a hitch on Saturday morning as the Golden Knights' men placed fifth out of 11 teams and the Clarkson women finished 11th out of 14 teams to put an end to the 2026 season.

Clarkson's group of Matthew Clarner, Adam Jansen, and Torsten Brickley combined for a time of 34:07.2 while the grouping of Skylar Francis, Clare Janas, and Janneke Baks finished in 52:39.4.

Overall, the Golden Knights' men finished sixth in the standings for the four events and the women were 11th after their scoring in four events. Matthew Clarner was the top finisher for the Golden Knights, taking sixth in the men's individual standings among the 71 competitors. Torsten Brickley was next for the Knights in 17th and Adam Jansen placed 26th. Silas Bartol wasn't far behind Jansen in 29th, while Nathaniel Burke came in 32nd, Braydon Patch finished 44th, and Oliver Dolcino was in the 55th spot. For the women, Skylar Francis took 20th out of 59 participants, Janneke Baks came in 48th and Clare Janas was 49th.
